Oracle is seeking an experienced Principal Site Reliability Developer to drive reliability, scalability, automation, and performance across mission-critical cloud services. This role demands deep expertise in distributed systems, automation, cloud architecture, and Oracle technologies to help shape the next generation of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Solve complex issues across cloud infrastructure and automate prevention strategies
- Design & deploy solutions that enhance reliability, scalability, and efficiency
- Develop architectures, standards, and best practices for distributed systems
- Drive capacity planning, forecasting, performance optimization, and system tuning
- Partner with SRE and development teams for end-to-end ownership of services
- Lead security, resiliency, and performance improvements
- Act as top-tier escalation for undocumented and complex issues
- Troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems using deep service topology insights
- Influence product architecture based on reliability and operational principles
🛠️ Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate (Extract, Replicat, Trails)
- Expertise in high-availability data replication architectures
- Solid understanding of cloud automation, monitoring & distributed systems
- Strong background in Oracle databases, networking, and security
- Proficiency in Terraform, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines
- Comfortable with Linux, cloud platforms, and on-call rotations
- Ability to guide teams on performance, capacity, and reliability best practices
🎓 Qualifications
- Career Level: IC4
- 10+ years of experience in SRE, distributed systems, or cloud engineering
- Strong communication & analytical skills
