Job Overview:
Intuit is seeking a Staff Software Engineer – Data to join the Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) Operation Excellence Engineering team in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing, developing, and managing enterprise-level database systems using SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-native technologies. You will ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and security of database infrastructure supporting millions of customers.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain complex cloud-native data systems.
- Plan and deploy database infrastructure, perform upgrades and migrations.
- Act as resident expert in Aurora PostgreSQL for performance, query tuning, and incident response.
- Collaborate with functional teams to coordinate database changes within Agile frameworks.
- Contribute to infrastructure changes in AWS and optimize performance and cost.
- Manage complex replication environments for batch and real-time use cases.
- Troubleshoot production and pre-production issues; engage in on-call rotations.
- Implement deployment automation, monitoring enhancements, and production changes.
- Create operational playbooks and knowledge-sharing documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 8+ years hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other database technologies.
- Experience with AWS Data Migration Service, Oracle GoldenGate, and replication technologies.
- Strong expertise in database performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning.
- Experience in data modeling for OLTP and data warehousing systems.
- Proficient with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps automation using scripting languages.
- Experience with Java, Python, or Ruby programming.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, Wavefront, NoSQL, or Big Data technologies is a plus.
