Job Summary
The Set Up Analyst – Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for reviewing and setting up complex US residential mortgage loan files in compliance with lender and underwriting guidelines. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, paperless environment while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify loan quality as per US mortgage requirements and lender guidelines
- Set up mortgage loan files for Underwriting (UW)
- Review and analyze borrower and third-party documentation
- Interpret policies related to applicant information, property, income, and assets
- Ensure compliance with credit underwriting guidelines
- Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness in loan processing
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to meet SLAs
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in US Residential Mortgage
- Strong experience in Pre-Underwriting (Pre-UW) / File Setup
- Excellent knowledge of Income and Asset Guidelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in a paperless environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and 24/7 schedules
