Job Overview:
Intuit is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join the TISO organization. The role focuses on application security, secure automation, and hardening of Linux, Windows, and container environments. You will help strengthen security systems, automate processes, and ensure the protection of customer data across global platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Implement security hardening and Intuit-defined baselines for Linux, Windows, and container environments.
- Apply CIS benchmarks to maintain compliance with Internet security standards.
- Provide expert guidance on system and container technologies, including Kubernetes, Podman, Amazon Linux, Debian, and Alpine.
- Automate software builds and deployments using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align priorities, manage expectations, and communicate updates.
- Maintain technical documentation to support teams and end-users.
- Participate in Agile development environments (Scrum/Kanban) and manage tasks in Jira.
- Improve processes through automation and continuous integration.
- Contribute across the full SDLC, from design to deployment and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Software/IT Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or security-focused technical roles.
- Strong Linux administration and shell scripting expertise.
- Hands-on experience with container security and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with automation and infrastructure as code tools (Chef, Packer).
- Intermediate to advanced Python skills; Golang experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of AWS security features and cloud environments.
- Knowledge of networking, APIs (REST, XML, JSON), and operating system security.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, secure SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with security automation and process improvement.
- Expertise in secure container deployments and cloud-native security practices.
- Collaborative team player capable of working across multiple teams.
