Job Summary
SAP is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to drive large-scale CI/CD adoption and cloud transformation initiatives. This role plays a critical part in enabling reliable, secure, and scalable DevOps services that directly support over 40,000 developers globally.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & Platform Engineering
- Enable and scale enterprise-grade CI/CD services across SAP
- Automate migration of on-premises services to cloud platforms
- Drive key technical and architectural decisions for CI/CD tooling
- Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and reliability of DevOps platforms
Cloud & Automation
- Manage and administer Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments
- Develop automation using Python or Go
- Improve DevOps efficiency through tooling, automation, and best practices
Impact & Collaboration
- Work on platforms used by 40,000+ SAP developers
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, product, and platform teams
- Contribute to innovation in internal developer platforms and tooling
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science preferred) or equivalent
- 8–12 years of hands-on DevOps experience
- Strong expertise in:
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration
- CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Programming: Python or Go
Nice to Have Skills
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Kubernetes, Terraform
- Programming experience in Java
- Experience using Moderne for large-scale code refactoring
- Exposure to enterprise-scale DevOps platforms
