About the Role
You’ll work with Oracle’s Health and AI Database Services team to support large-scale production databases across global healthcare clients. This role involves performance tuning, cloud migration, automation, incident handling, and reliability engineering across Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud, MS SQL Server, and DevOps platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production Oracle and MS SQL Server environments.
- Lead migration of on-prem databases to Oracle Cloud and Autonomous Database.
- Implement partitioning and compression for better performance.
- Work with cross-functional teams on key roadmap projects.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and build automation to prevent recurrence.
- Define SLIs and SLOs for monitoring and reliability.
- Drive improvements in availability, scalability, and security.
- Participate in incident management and system tuning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT, CS, Electronics, or related field.
- Strong understanding of core CS concepts.
- 5+ years with Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud, DevOps tools.
- 2+ years with MS SQL Server (installations, migrations, HA setups, tuning).
- 2+ years scripting with Python, PL/SQL, Perl, or Shell.
- Hands-on experience with GoldenGate replication.
- Knowledge of Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Git.
- Experience with Linux OS, kernel fundamentals, and debugging.
