About the Role
You will work with a global team that manages large-scale Oracle Database and cloud environments. The position involves database lifecycle management, cloud migration, Autonomous Database adoption, GoldenGate administration, and improving overall system stability and efficiency.
This is a strong fit for engineers with experience across Oracle Database, Exadata, Oracle Cloud, MS SQL Server, automation, DevOps, and scripting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support strategic projects to move on-prem databases to Oracle Cloud.
- Lead migrations to Autonomous Database for improved performance and scalability.
- Implement partitioning, compression, and tuning strategies for efficient data management.
- Work with cross-functional teams on roadmap initiatives.
- Provide expert guidance on infrastructure and DevOps issues.
- Define SLIs and SLOs for database reliability and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and build automation to eliminate recurring problems.
- Handle incident management, performance analysis, and system tuning.
- Lead improvements in availability, security, and scalability.
- Mentor new associates and support team knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, CS, Electronics, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of core computer science concepts.
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud, DevOps tools.
- Experience with Python, PL/SQL, Perl, or Shell scripting.
- Hands-on expertise in GoldenGate replication.
- Experience with Terraform, Shepherd, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, and Git.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database performance tuning, partitioning, compression.
- Experience with Oracle Grid Infrastructure, ASM, RAC, Exadata.
- Understanding of REST, JSON, Linux kernel fundamentals.
