Job Overview
Oracle is hiring Senior Database Site Reliability Engineers for its Health & AI Database Services Team. This is a high-impact, client-facing role supporting over 400 customer databases globally, ensuring mission-critical healthcare applications run with maximum reliability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support Oracle & MS SQL Server production environments.
- Lead migration initiatives from on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud and Autonomous Database.
- Implement performance strategies such as partitioning and advanced compression.
- Drive database efficiency, reliability, and cost optimization across healthcare customers.
- Develop and define SLIs/SLOs for monitoring platforms.
- Participate in incident management, RCA, operational maintenance, and performance tuning.
- Work cross-functionally to support strategic roadmap projects.
- Build automation to prevent repeat operational issues.
- Act as a technical advisor for infrastructure and DevOps challenges.
- Drive projects enhancing availability, scalability, and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in IT, CS, Software Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics, or related fields.
- 5+ years experience with Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud, DevOps, and database management.
- 2+ years hands-on experience with:
- MS SQL Server (Installations, Configurations, Migrations, HA setups like FCI/AOAG, Replication, Tuning)
- Scripting (Python, PLSQL, Perl, Shell)
- Oracle GoldenGate development & management
- Familiarity with:
- Terraform, Shepherd (IaC tools)
- Jenkins (CI/CD)
- Ansible, Chef (Orchestration)
- Git (Version control)
- Strong understanding of database performance tuning, RAC, ASM, Exadata, Partitioning, Compression.
- Linux system management and kernel-level understanding (IO, Networking).
- Excellent communication skills with ability to write proposals, design docs, and diagrams.
