🔹 Job Description
SAP is looking for a Database Automation Engineer with strong expertise in SAP HANA, Oracle, DevOps, and Cloud technologies to join its Database Cloud Operations team. The role focuses on building intelligent automation solutions, managing large-scale databases, and integrating DevOps and AI-driven workflows to improve operational efficiency.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Manage enterprise databases including SAP HANA, MySQL, and MSSQL
- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations
- Design and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Support large-scale customer databases and data management requests
- Develop automation solutions using Rundeck, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines
- Integrate workflows into DevSecOps pipelines
- Build backend services and REST APIs using Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI)
- Develop frontend interfaces using Node.js, Bootstrap, or Angular
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on AI/ML and LLM-based solutions
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure service reliability
- Contribute to cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP
🔹 Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong programming skills in Python, Shell, or Go
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Linux and database administration
- Experience with SAP HANA, MySQL, MSSQL
- Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, DevSecOps
- Experience with orchestration tools like Rundeck or Jenkins
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Frontend exposure to Node.js, Angular, or Bootstrap
- Experience or exposure to AI/ML or LLM models
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with global teams
