Job Description
The Sabre Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining distributed applications in production, building reliable observability systems, automating operations, and ensuring smooth cloud-based deployments. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and capable of managing large-scale production workloads in dynamic cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and implement distributed production applications
- Work with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or AWS
- Build and maintain robust observability systems
- Utilize monitoring and observability tools such as:
- Prometheus
- Grafana
- Google Dashboards
- Zabbix or similar platforms
- Manage metrics, logs, and traces for in-depth application monitoring
- Handling incident response, troubleshooting, and conducting application-level root cause analysis
- Optimize application performance, latency, and error handling
- Automate operational workflows and improve system reliability
- Use Ansible for deployment automation, configuration management, and operational tasks
- Write strong automation scripts using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools
- Collaborate closely with development teams to enhance performance, availability, and service reliability
