IBM is hiring a Product Manager – HashiCorp Platform Team to drive scale and performance strategy across HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP). This role is part of IBM Software, focusing on delivering AI-powered, cloud-native, and enterprise-grade solutions.
As a Product Manager, you will own the vision, roadmap, and execution for performance and scalability initiatives, ensuring HashiCorp Cloud meets the needs of global enterprise customers operating at massive scale.
This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in cloud platforms, DevOps, SRE, or distributed systems who want to influence product strategy at an enterprise level.
🔧 Roles & Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and execute the scale and performance strategy across HashiCorp Cloud
- Identify and prioritize cross-platform scalability risks and dependencies
- Partner with engineering and architecture teams to define performance KPIs and benchmarks
- Ensure scalability and resilience are embedded into all new services and features
Roadmap & Delivery
- Own and manage the roadmap for scale and performance initiatives
- Create and maintain Product Requirement Documents (PRDs)
- Drive initiatives that reduce latency, improve efficiency, and increase reliability
- Collaborate across engineering, operations, and platform teams
Customer-Centric Development
- Engage with enterprise customers to understand performance and workload requirements
- Translate customer needs such as latency, throughput, and multi-region resilience into product features
- Work with support and customer success teams to validate outcomes
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Partner with HashiCorp Cloud asset owners to enforce scalability standards
- Advocate for performance-driven design and testing
- Align performance metrics with SLAs, SLOs, and compliance requirements
Go-to-Market Support
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on performance positioning
- Develop benchmarks and messaging that demonstrate enterprise-scale reliability
🧠 Required Skills & Expertise
- 3+ years of Product Management experience in cloud platforms or enterprise software
- Overall 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or similar roles
- Strong understanding of performance engineering, benchmarking, and scalability
- Experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud (GCP)
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
⭐ Preferred Skills
- Experience with HashiCorp products (Terraform, Vault, Consul, Nomad)
- Familiarity with IBM products and cloud services
- Exposure to distributed, multi-tenant systems
🎓 Educational Qualification
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree
