🛠️ Job Description
As a Principal Software Developer, you will play a key role in Oracle’s SaaS Cloud Security organization. You will combine software engineering, systems engineering, and DevSecOps practices to design and deploy next-generation cybersecurity solutions at cloud scale.
This position involves working on distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, and security automation to support Oracle’s global SaaS infrastructure.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain security management systems for Oracle SaaS Cloud
- Architect and build fault-tolerant, highly available distributed systems
- Develop cloud-native solutions using modern programming practices
- Collaborate with security engineering, operations, and product teams
- Lead innovation in security automation, monitoring, and compliance
- Influence security architecture and multi-year security strategies
- Support security operations teams with scalable tooling and platforms
- Drive engineering excellence, quality, and mentorship across teams
🧰 Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years of professional experience as SRE / DevOps / Software Engineer
- Strong experience with Linux system administration
- Advanced programming in Scala (primary)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Kubernetes & Docker
- Kafka / data streaming platforms
- Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud platforms: OCI, AWS, or GCP
- Experience building high-throughput, scalable distributed systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ELK Stack, Oracle DB, Cassandra, Redis
- Knowledge of secure network design (TCP/IP, TLS, VPN, Load Balancing)
- Background in security operations or incident response
- Experience with Machine Learning / AI inference automation
- GitOps experience (Argo CD / Argo Rollouts)
