Job Overview
Oracle is hiring an accomplished Principal Site Reliability Developer to strengthen its SaaS Engineering organization. This role is tailored for experts who have mastered large-scale cloud deployments, production operations, WebLogic administration, automation, and the full lifecycle management of high-availability enterprise systems.
You’ll work with cutting-edge components across Oracle Cloud—including Oracle Fusion applications, WebLogic Server, Identity Management, Oracle Database, Oracle Virtual Machine, and next-generation cloud services. The position offers the chance to shape systems used globally and to operate at the forefront of cloud engineering excellence.
This role also requires flexibility to support operations beyond regular working hours when needed.
Key Responsibilities
⭐ Middleware Technology Leadership
- Serve as a WebLogic Administration expert for application lifecycle management.
- Monitor application services, deploy applications, and troubleshoot multi-layer SaaS infrastructure issues.
- Enhance existing environments, increase capacity, and optimize performance.
⭐ Automation & Orchestration
- Design automated workflows for deployments and operational tasks.
- Build scalable solutions to support fleet-wide updates and configuration management.
- Contribute to transforming operations toward fully autonomous, algorithmic IT.
⭐ Operational Ownership
- Deep understanding of end-to-end service architecture, dependencies, and operational workflows.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure services meet SLAs related to performance, security, monitoring, and reliability.
- Drive incident management, capacity expansion, infrastructure maintenance, and production deployment standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 9–11 years of expertise as an Oracle WebLogic Administrator with strong automation experience (Python/Shell).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
- Hands-on administration experience with Web Servers such as OHS or Apache.
- Proven experience running large-scale, cloud-based systems on platforms like Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack.
- Strong technical command over Application, Server, Network, and Storage components.
- Ability to design and implement monitoring, telemetry, scalability, and reliability solutions.
- Expertise in solving complex operational problems and automating recurring tasks.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work in a 24×7 environment, including on-call rotations.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of incident, request, and change management processes.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Familiarity with Java programming and structured SQL.
- Prior experience in SRE or DevOps roles.
- Background with automated deployment tools and CI/CD workflows.
- Exposure to AI-based system automation or FDI 25.10.
