Job Summary
Mphasis is seeking an experienced Senior Application Packaging Engineer to lead a critical client engagement. The role involves end-to-end application packaging, virtualization, deployment, and lifecycle management across Windows and VDI environments. The candidate will also manage and mentor a technical team while ensuring delivery excellence and high client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead application packaging projects and ensure timely, high-quality delivery
- Manage and mentor team members, promoting collaboration and productivity
- Perform testing and deployment across Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server, and VDI environments
- Resolve technical issues and evaluate alternative design solutions
- Create and maintain documentation for:
- Application packaging
- Deployment procedures
- Administrative guides
- Known issues and resolutions
- Oversee incident, problem, and change management activities
- Train and coach project members for effective knowledge transfer
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with client expectations
Mandatory Skills
- Extensive experience in Windows application packaging
- Strong expertise in MSI application packaging using AdminStudio
- Hands-on experience with APP-V Sequencer (Application Virtualization)
- Strong knowledge of VDI (Citrix) environments
- Excellent understanding of application packaging lifecycle management
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and VBScript
- Strong technical troubleshooting and issue-resolution skills
- Experience in deployment and packaging documentation
Preferred Skills
- Application deployment using APP-V in physical and virtual environments
- Familiarity with Incident Management processes
Qualifications
- Willingness to support 24/7 operations and night shifts
- Educational qualification:
- B.Tech / BE / BCA / MCA / M.Tech
- Or equivalent technical degree from a recognized institution
