Job Overview
Oracle’s Product Development team is looking for an experienced Software Developer / Applications Engineer ready to take on new challenges in UI development using Redwood, VBCS, VB Rules, JavaScript, and Java.
In this role, you will design, develop, debug, and enhance enterprise-grade SaaS applications used by millions of users worldwide, while working with modern web technologies, AI-driven platforms, and scalable architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, and enhance software applications
- Implement web components and UI applications for Oracle SaaS products
- Architect efficient, reusable, and scalable systems for complex web applications
- Perform high-level and detailed design based on functional specifications
- Build complex enhancements and resolve advanced software defects
- Develop and execute unit tests and support integration & regression testing
- Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, Architects, QA, and Engineers
- Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues
- Take ownership of modules and drive key technical initiatives
- Participate in Agile / Scrum-based development processes
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Java programming experience is mandatory
- Experience with Node.js
- Hands-on experience in UI development (Redwood, VBCS, VB Rules)
- Strong understanding of REST APIs (consumption & development)
- Knowledge of HTTP, JSON, XML, and web protocols
- Experience with Git SCM
- Understanding of web performance optimization
- Experience building highly available, scalable, and secure systems
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Equivalent professional experience will also be considered
