Job Summary:
Oracle is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Developer to solve complex problems in cloud infrastructure, build automation, and enhance the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle Cloud services. You will work on large-scale distributed systems and be a key player in designing, deploying, and maintaining mission-critical stacks across Oracle Cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the SRE team to manage end-to-end service reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Design, write, and deploy automation and orchestration solutions to prevent problem recurrence.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement improvements in service architecture and operational processes.
- Serve as technical escalation point for complex production issues.
- Understand and optimize service topology, dependencies, and distributed system design.
- Lead projects focused on cloud infrastructure monitoring, automation, and operational excellence.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Oracle Cloud, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
- Expertise in automation, orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Deep understanding of system performance, scalability, and operational troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, or similar programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience in cloud-native applications, monitoring tools, and large-scale deployments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and service reliability frameworks.
