About the Role
Oracle is looking for a Site Reliability Developer 2 to join its Health and AI Database Services Team in Bengaluru. The team manages over 400 customer databases globally, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of mission-critical healthcare applications.
You will contribute to building a next-generation platform that automates database lifecycle management and enhances Oracle Cloud services for healthcare clients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to strategic cloud migration projects aligned with Oracle’s roadmap.
- Migrate on-premises databases to Oracle Autonomous Database for performance and efficiency.
- Optimize databases through partitioning, advanced compression, and tuning techniques.
- Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to implement roadmap initiatives.
- Act as a technical advisor solving complex infrastructure and DevOps challenges.
- Define and develop SLIs, SLOs, and monitoring standards for reliability.
- Automate operations to improve scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in incident management, system tuning, and performance analysis.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience: 3–5+ years in Site Reliability / Database / DevOps environments.
- Databases: MySQL, Oracle Database, GoldenGate, Exadata.
- Cloud Platforms: Oracle Cloud (OCI) – Autonomous Database, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Shepherd).
- Scripting Languages: Python, PLSQL, Perl, Unix Shell.
- DevOps Tools: Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Chef, Grafana.
- Other Skills:
- MySQL enterprise cluster architecture
- Backup and replication management
- OEM and database monitoring
- Understanding of REST APIs and JSON
- Linux system administration and performance optimization
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
- Strong fundamentals in Computer Science, Networking, and Database Management.
