Job Description
At Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), engineers build enterprise-grade cloud solutions that empower businesses worldwide. As part of the OCI Platform Service team, you’ll design, develop, and operate cloud features and collaborate across product, operations, and platform engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance services.
This position offers the opportunity to lead by example, guide junior engineers, and take full ownership of product features within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy features within the OCI Platform Service.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Solve complex challenges in distributed systems, infrastructure, and availability.
- Collaborate with platform, operations, and product teams to deliver cloud-ready features.
- Ensure smooth cloud service operation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Contribute to service-oriented architecture (SOA) and API development.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or software development.
- Strong expertise in Java, with working knowledge of Python, C++, C#, or Golang.
- Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
- Proficiency in REST API development and service-oriented architecture.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within Agile development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development in cloud contexts.
- Familiarity with distributed computing, cloud infrastructure, and platform integration.
- Proven ability to work with multi-functional platform teams (compute, networking, storage).
