📌 Job Description
Oracle is seeking a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer responsible for maintaining and optimizing production environments, systems, and databases that support critical business operations. The role involves system administration, troubleshooting, high availability management, and deploying innovative cloud solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
You’ll work across high-scale deployments, handle incident management, release automation, and ensure system uptime in fast-paced cloud environments.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Install, monitor, maintain, and optimize production server hardware/software
- Provide escalated technical support for complex technical issues
- Manage staging/production environments and resolve incidents as per SLA
- Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors for resolution
- Oversee release management, deployments, and zero-downtime solutions
- Perform root cause analysis and change management activities
- Ensure robust monitoring, system uptime, and production security
🛠 Required Skills
- 6+ years IT experience, 4+ years in Sys Admin/Support
- Strong Linux Administration & Systems Architecture
- Knowledge of Networking, Cloud Computing, Virtualization, Load Balancers
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, Shell; Java/Go is a plus)
- Hands-on with Monitoring/Instrumentation tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, New Relic, etc.)
- CI/CD, DevOps tools: Terraform, Chef, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience in high-scale deployments & system troubleshooting
