Oracle, a global leader in cloud solutions, is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to join the HeatWave Service Team in Bengaluru. This role involves troubleshooting production issues, handling upgrades and patches, and contributing to automation, monitoring, and operational improvements.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with cloud service architecture, distributed systems, and operational technologies, making a global impact on mission-critical business solutions.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Improve monitoring, notifications, and configuration of HeatWave services.
- Triage and troubleshoot service-impacting events.
- Handle service upgrades, patching, and automation opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents quickly.
- Contribute to runbooks, documentation, and service reliability improvements.
- Participate in 24×7 rotational on-call support (including weekends/holidays).
🎯 Required Skills
- Cloud: AWS, OCI, or equivalent cloud services
- Database: MySQL, SQL concepts
- Programming/Scripting: Python, Bash, Git
- Systems: Linux administration & troubleshooting, Networking concepts
- DevOps: CI/CD, Agile methodology, automation tools
📌 Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
- Experience collaborating in Agile environments.
