Job Overview
The Production Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Group within Microsoft’s Linux Systems division plays a key role in powering Azure Cloud at scale.
As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will ensure safe deployment processes, maintain large-scale systems, and leverage AI-driven automation to enhance reliability, scalability, and performance across Microsoft’s Azure infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Automate scalable operational processes including monitoring, alerting, and deployments.
- Manage public cloud infrastructure and hyper-scale data centers.
- Improve observability, reliability, and performance of Azure services.
- Develop alerts, automation, and monitoring infrastructure to ensure system stability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams for continuous improvement and faster deployments.
- Participate in incident response during on-call rotations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, SRE, or systems administration.
- Hands-on experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
- Deep knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure, distributed systems, and safe deployment practices.
- Understanding of SRE principles and automation at scale.
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience in similar technical roles.
- Experience managing large-scale cloud systems or data centers.
- Proven debugging, monitoring, and incident management skills.
