🧑💻 Job Overview – Lead Platform Engineer
DXC Technology is hiring an experienced Lead Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate highly reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms. You will work on mission-critical banking and enterprise systems, leveraging AWS, Azure, automation, and DevOps best practices.
This role is ideal for professionals with strong cloud engineering, scripting, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation expertise.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage production environments, ensuring high availability and system health
- Build and maintain cloud platform infrastructure in AWS and Azure
- Design and implement automation for infrastructure and application components
- Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of platform services
- Execute chaos testing, performance benchmarking, and functional testing
- Develop functional and non-functional test frameworks for:
- HTTPS
- Kafka (AVRO / JSON)
- AS2805 (SNMP)
- ODBC
- MQ
- Measure and optimize system performance and reliability
- Provide operational support for large-scale distributed applications
- Enhance logging, cybersecurity, and system reliability strategies
- Conduct post-incident root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive solutions
🛠 Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of experience in application development and support
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure
- Strong expertise in:
- Linux & Scripting
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred)
- Python and Groovy programming
- Experience with infrastructure & DevOps tools:
- Terraform
- GitHub
- Ansible
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to assess, adopt, and implement new technologies and processes
