IBM is hiring for a Senior Java Engineer to join the team working on IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration, a SaaS-based platform used to connect APIs, apps, events, files, and B2B transactions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
This role focuses on building scalable components using Java and Spring, and contributing to AI-driven features that enhance automation and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build enterprise-grade integration components for IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration.
- Develop scalable solutions using Java, Spring Framework, and microservices.
- Work with architects to integrate AI features including agentic AI and generative AI workflows.
- Contribute to API management and event-driven architecture.
- Optimize performance for SaaS deployments across multi-cloud setups.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and support best coding and testing practices.
Required Skills
- 7–10 years of Java development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices.
- At least 2 years working with AI solutions such as LLMs, agentic AI, or generative AI.
- Experience with REST APIs, event-driven systems, and cloud-native development.
- Understanding of data security in SaaS environments.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
Preferred Skills
- Experience building SaaS platforms from scratch.
- Background in AI-driven enterprise software.
- Exposure to IBM webMethods or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of responsible AI practices.
