💼 Job Description – Lead Consultant, Batch Operations
Genpact is inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant – Batch Operations.
In this role, you will manage end-of-day and critical batch operations, ensure business readiness, handle complex batch incidents, and drive continuous efficiency improvements across enterprise systems—primarily in financial services and investment management environments.
This is a lead-level role requiring strong operational ownership, technical depth, and stakeholder communication.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-of-day (EOD) batch incidents in partnership with application development and operations teams
- Perform impact analysis and root cause analysis for job and batch abends
- Manage delays to critical IM milestones and notify downstream teams
- Provide recovery instructions for batch and job failures (Mainframe & Distributed)
- Lead communications for incidents above severity S5
- Drive continuous efficiency improvements across batch operations
- Monitor critical batch milestones and track unexplained deviations
- Perform Batch Ready-for-Business (RFB) checks before start of business
- Set up and fine-tune batch alerts for new and existing onboardings
- Monitor alerts related to:
- Job abends
- Long-running jobs
- CPU, space, and platform exceptions
- Develop and maintain batch runbooks and audit trails
- Deliver leadership communications, batch status reports, and KPIs
- Analyze job dependencies, resource utilization, CPU patterns, and optimize batch flows
- Conduct batch dependency, whitespace, and architecture analysis
- Drive batch tool strategy, including dashboards and automation tools
- Lead new batch onboarding process development
- Plan and support DR flips, BCP, and isolation testing
- Support batch platform events (DB, network, storage, scheduler upgrades)
- Ensure data synchronization between Production and BCP environments
- Review and manage temporary access and entitlement requests
- Support non-production integration and conversion environments
- Handle escalations internally and with business and engineering partners
🎓 Qualifications Required
✅ Minimum Qualifications
- BE / B.Tech / MCA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of Investment Management / Financial Services domain
