Job Overview
Accenture is looking for an experienced Technology Support Engineer to lead enterprise-scale Windows and VMware infrastructure operations. You will manage teams, resolve incidents, and ensure system stability while acting as an SME for VMware vSphere, ESXi, Active Directory, and Windows Server technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor Windows & VMware infrastructure teams
- Oversee BAU tasks, incidents, changes, and project deliverables
- Improve operations through automation, monitoring, and best practices
- Provide escalation support for P1/P2 incidents
Technical Expertise (SME)
- Manage VMware vSphere/ESXi (6.x–8.x), vSAN, vMotion, SRM
- Administer Windows Server 2008–2022, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO
- Perform RCA for recurring issues
- Manage patching, upgrades, and lifecycle compliance
Infrastructure Design & Projects
- Lead design and implementation of Windows & VMware solutions
- Support hybrid cloud (Azure/AWS) and hosted VMware solutions
- Maintain HLD/LLD documentation, runbooks, SOPs
- Integrate monitoring, backup, security, and storage platforms
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OEM guidelines and security baselines
- Drive patch compliance and vulnerability remediation
- Maintain vendor relationships with Microsoft, VMware & OEMs
Collaboration
- Work with cross-functional teams including cloud, network, and applications
- Participate in CAB meetings, DR drills, and change planning
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10 years in Windows Server & VMware Infrastructure
- Team leadership or mentoring experience
- Strong skills in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, SRM
- Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO
- PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform (preferred)
- Hybrid cloud exposure (Azure/AWS)
- Monitoring tools knowledge: vROps, Zabbix, Datadog, SCOM
Nice-to-Have Skills
- NSX, Horizon VDI, Citrix
- Backup tools: Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik
- ITIL Foundation
- MCSE, VCP-DCV, VCAP certifications
Qualifications
- 15 years full-time education
