🧠 What You’ll Do
Cisco is looking for a Software Engineer who will help innovate and secure the future of internet infrastructure. You’ll be joining a high-impact team responsible for building Cisco’s cutting-edge cloud-delivered security solutions including Firepower, Snort, SecureX, DNS Security, and more.
- Perform test planning, validation, and automation of networking and security features
- Dive deep into system internals, OS integrations, and protocol-level testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including customer support for resolution of complex issues
- Manage lab setups and simulate real-world malware/legitimate traffic
- Continuously learn and implement the latest in network security and automation
🛠️ Skills & Qualifications
✅ Must-Have Experience:
- 4+ years in Networking and Security domain testing
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv6, IDS/IPS, NAT, VPN (IPSec/SSL), TLS
- Hands-on with Routing & Switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs)
- Virtualization: ESXi, KVM, AWS, Azure, OCI
- Tools: Wireshark, tcpdump, Packet Tracer, Malware Traffic Generators
- Familiarity with security tools: Palo Alto, Juniper, Checkpoint, Fortinet
💻 Programming & Automation:
- Strong scripting in Python, Java
- Experience in UI and API test automation
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
