Job Summary
SAP is looking for an experienced IT Technology Services Senior Specialist to support Linux and Cloud Operations within its Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high availability, operational stability, automation, and service excellence for SAP’s private cloud offerings under RISE with SAP.
The position requires strong hands-on expertise in Linux administration, cloud platforms, automation, Pacemaker clustering, and incident management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality daily operations while meeting KPIs and SLAs
- Provide advanced support for Linux and Windows infrastructure environments
- Leverage automation to improve system stability, efficiency, and scalability
- Optimize high-availability Pacemaker clusters and resolve architectural issues
- Ensure system reliability through proactive monitoring and incident management
- Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Drive cross-team collaboration to standardize operational workflows
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce customer pain points
- Proactively manage and prevent escalations to improve customer satisfaction
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of advanced Linux administration (RedHat / SUSE)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience in Pacemaker-based HA clusters
- Solid cloud operations experience across:
- AWS
- Azure
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong networking knowledge and understanding of IT security & OS hardening
- Excellent scripting and automation skills:
- Shell
- Python
- Perl
- Go
- Ansible
- Chef
- Proven experience in problem management and root cause analysis
- Ability to enhance system reliability and drive continuous operational improvement
