Job Summary
SAP is looking for an experienced IT Technology Services Senior Specialist – Linux & Cloud Operations to deliver high-quality enterprise cloud operations and ensure system stability, availability, and performance. This role plays a critical part in RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition, supporting customers through their cloud transformation journey.
The position requires deep expertise in Linux administration, high-availability clusters, cloud operations, automation, and incident management across large-scale enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality daily operations while meeting KPIs and SLA commitments
- Provide advanced support for Linux and Windows infrastructure environments
- Optimize and maintain Pacemaker-based high-availability clusters
- Ensure system reliability through proactive monitoring and incident management
- Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Drive cross-team collaboration to standardize operational workflows
- Lead automation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Proactively manage and prevent escalations to enhance customer satisfaction
- Safeguard system performance, availability, and resilience in cloud environments
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of advanced Linux administration (RedHat, SUSE)
- Strong expertise in Pacemaker high-availability clustering
- Proven experience in Cloud Operations across:
- AWS
- Azure
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong understanding of networking, IT security, and OS hardening
- Hands-on experience with scripting and automation tools:
- Shell
- Python
- Perl
- Go
- Ansible
- Chef
- Excellent problem management and RCA skills
- Ability to drive operational excellence in large-scale enterprise environments
Where You’ll Work
The role is part of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) under Customer Services & Delivery (CS&D). ECS is responsible for operating SAP’s private cloud offerings under RISE with SAP, delivering managed cloud infrastructure and services across SAP datacenters, hyperscalers, premium suppliers, and customer datacenters.
The Enhanced Operation Service team focuses on optimizing end-to-end delivery and operations for strategic customers throughout their cloud transformation journey.
