Join Intuit as a Staff Software Engineer and help build intelligent, scalable “done-for-you” solutions for mid-market businesses. You will work with cutting-edge technologies across the cloud ecosystem—including Spring Boot, React, AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Elasticsearch—to create globally distributed, intelligent agent experiences.

🛠 Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Architect, design, and develop scalable web and backend systems, prototypes, and POCs.
- Lead requirement gathering, technical specification development, test planning, and roadmap alignment.
- Serve as a technical SME—mentor engineers, guide design decisions, and lead complex technical problem-solving.
- Create and present technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and design alternatives to engineering and business teams.
Hands-On Engineering
- Contribute 30–70% hands-on coding.
- Build RESTful services, distributed systems, automation, and cloud-native capabilities.
- Work with globally scaled engineering systems across AWS, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
Cross-Functional Partnership

🎯 Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in web, software, or mobile application development.
- Strong experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Databases.
- Expertise in Kafka, Kubernetes, Caching, and distributed system design.
- Strong experience with AWS and DevOps practices.
- Deep understanding of the SDLC, TDD, and unit testing principles.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives, mentoring teams, and influencing technical strategy.
- Excellent communication skills—capable of engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders, including at C-level.
- Understanding of AI, LLM agents, and architecture patterns.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ML/advanced AI systems (good to have).
- Experience with capability-based planning and strategy execution.
