About the Role
Infosys is looking for an experienced Network Access Engineer to join its Engineering Services team in Bangalore. The role involves designing, testing, and optimizing network access solutions for HFC & Fiber-based networks, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate architecture to high-level network design for HFC and Fiber (DOCSIS/PON).
- Create converged aggregation network designs (IP & Optical).
- Prepare lab environments, test cases, and validate network designs.
- Perform regression testing and develop automation frameworks.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing network solutions.
- Incorporate security measures in new and existing network designs.
- Collaborate with OEM vendors and stakeholders during design and rollout phases.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers.
Additional Responsibilities
- Experience with passive access technologies (Cabinets, Amplifiers, Fiber Nodes).
- Knowledge of BNG & CPE testing.
- Strong field trial and test automation background.
Technical Requirements
- Domain: Network Security Protocols & Standards (MPLS)
- Technology: DOCSIS Converters – Cable Modem (Cisco), Network Design & Test
- Preferred Skills: MPLS, DOCSIS, Cisco Cable Modem, Network Testing
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Technology, or Computer Applications.
