About the Role
IBM Consulting is looking for a Data Engineer – Data Platforms – AWS for its Client Innovation Center in Pune. You’ll be working on data engineering, big data processing, and AWS cloud-based solutions. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and solutions using Spark, Python, Scala, and AWS Cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics.
- Work with AWS Cloud Data Platforms, Hadoop, Spark, Python, and Scala.
- Develop efficient software code leveraging Spark Framework.
- Create streaming pipelines and scalable solutions using big data technologies.
- Implement cloud-based solutions with AWS EMR, AWS Glue, AWS RedShift, DynamoDB, and DataBricks.
Required Skills and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred)
- Experience: 5–8+ years in Data Engineering and Big Data technologies
- 5+ years of experience in Spark / Python / Scala
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Data Platforms
- Proficiency in SQL, Hadoop, and data lakehouse concepts
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in AWS, DataBricks, or Cloudera Spark Developer
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in data platform modernization projects
