🌐 About the Role
IBM Consulting is hiring skilled AWS DevOps Engineers to join its Client Innovation Centers across the UK. In this role, you will design, troubleshoot, and automate large-scale distributed systems while ensuring security, performance, and reliability.
You’ll be working on cloud automation, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services, driving innovation and efficiency in client projects.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems
- Develop and automate monitoring, tooling, alerts, and mitigation systems
- Participate in on-call rotation and resolve production outages
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and optimize DevOps workflows
- Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud infrastructure
🎯 Required Skills & Expertise
- Hands-on experience with AWS Services: EC2, Auto Scaling, RDS, VPC, SQS, Elasticsearch Service
- Strong background in Linux server management (Alpine, CentOS, Debian)
- Proficiency in Python or Java for automation and scripting
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and automation tools
- Experience with Docker & Kubernetes for containerized workloads
- Ability to work in secure environments and follow DevSecOps principles
