The IBM Storage team is hiring for a Fusion Data Foundation L3 Engineer in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will provide advanced Linux storage system administration and development expertise while delivering outstanding support experiences. As an L3 Engineer, you’ll act as an escalation point for critical customer issues, mentor global L2 Support Engineers, and work with large-scale systems in a dynamic environment.
🎯 Roles and Responsibilities
- Support L2 engineers by resolving highly escalated customer issues.
- Deliver top-level sustaining support to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with product management to enhance product features and fixes.
- Monitor product performance and provide improvement inputs to stakeholders.
- Mentor global support teams and contribute to knowledge sharing.
🎓 Education
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- Preferred: Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree
🛠 Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 6+ years of L3, sustaining, or development engineering experience.
- Strong Linux storage system administration (installation, configuration, maintenance).
- Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Expertise in Bash, Python, Go, C/C++ scripting/programming.
- Knowledge of distributed storage architecture and deployment.
- Ability to collaborate in global teams.
💡 Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Knowledge of storage types (Block/File/Object), Ceph, Rook, Scale storage.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Contribution to open-source development projects.
