About the Role
HCLTech is looking for a highly experienced AI/ML Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI/ML solutions. The ideal candidate will translate business requirements into scalable and production-ready architectures, primarily using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a senior technical leadership role requiring strong expertise in ML Ops, cloud platforms, and end-to-end solution design.
Key Responsibilities
AI/ML Architecture & Development
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance AI/ML architectures
- Lead end-to-end solution design tailored to business requirements
- Oversee model development, deployment, and production monitoring
Technical Leadership
- Provide guidance to AI/ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers
- Drive best practices in ML Ops, architecture, and cloud solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and promote innovation
GCP Expertise
- Utilize services like BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Vertex AI, and related GCP AI/ML tools
- Build and deploy ML models using GCP infrastructure
Model Deployment & ML Ops
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated retraining, model versioning
- Ensure reliability, stability, and accuracy of production models
Innovation & Collaboration
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend scalable solutions
- Work closely with product managers, data engineers, and business stakeholders
- Optimize ML infrastructure for performance and cost
Governance & Documentation
- Follow data governance and security best practices
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of models and architecture
Required Skills & Experience
AI/ML Skills
- Strong understanding of supervised, unsupervised & reinforcement learning
- Deep learning expertise using TensorFlow / PyTorch
- Experience in text analytics and NLP
Programming & Tools
- Advanced Python skills
- Hands-on with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy
Cloud & Data Engineering
- Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Knowledge of ETL pipelines, data flows, and data engineering principles
ML Ops & Deployment
- Experience with CI/CD for ML
- Automated model retraining, monitoring, logging
- Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration
Additional Skills
- Strong statistical analysis
- Excellent communication & problem-solving
- Experience across multiple business domains (Banking, Finance, Telecom, Retail, Technology) – preferred
