Job Summary
SAP is hiring an Expert DevOps Engineer to support its Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations unit. This role focuses on managing and operating SAP BTP and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) platforms while ensuring security, compliance, scalability, and reliability for public sector and regulated industries.
The position requires deep expertise in CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud operations, and automation, along with the ability to work independently on complex systems in a 24/7 mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision, monitor, and operate cloud services in a globally distributed team
- Analyze and resolve operational issues and respond to incidents
- Manage SAP BTP and SAC daily operations across the SAP ecosystem
- Perform landscape maintenance, patching, upgrades, and refresh activities
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and drive continuous improvements
- Design and enhance services in collaboration with product development teams
- Develop and maintain automation for testing, deployment, scalability, and monitoring
- Maintain system integrity, availability, and security
- Provide on-call support for incidents and performance degradation
- Work in cross-functional global teams and support knowledge sharing
- Maintain office presence for efficient collaboration (5 days/week)
Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of relevant DevOps / Cloud Operations experience
- Expertise in CI/CD frameworks:

- Strong experience with GitOps and GitHub Actions
- In-depth knowledge of SAP BTP and Cloud Foundry architecture
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience:
- Terraform
- Ansible
- Hands-on automation and scripting skills:

- Solid understanding of cloud-native concepts and hyperscalers
- Expertise in monitoring tools and observability platforms
- Advanced knowledge of cloud computing, databases, networking, virtualization, and web services
