Role Overview
As an LDD Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize device drivers and kernel modules for Linux-based embedded systems. You’ll collaborate with hardware and software teams to build reliable and scalable solutions that support mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and port embedded software on Linux and ARM platforms
- Build Linux kernel modules and custom device drivers
- Work on OS-level components like memory management, scheduling, IPC, and threading
- Debug and optimize systems using JTAG and hardware debugging tools
- Resolve system-level issues with hardware-software integration
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and documentation
Your Profile
- 12–15 years of experience in embedded development and Linux device drivers
- Strong C programming skills with deep knowledge of data structures
- Hands-on Linux kernel and driver development experience
- Proficiency in ARM architecture and embedded Linux
- Strong understanding of OS concepts and performance tuning
- Experience with low-level programming and hardware interfaces
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Electronics, or related fields
- Open-source or kernel community contribution is an advantage
