Wipro is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer (Ansible & Python) to lead automation initiatives for backup and recovery operations. The role focuses on designing scalable automation frameworks, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring secure and reliable infrastructure operations.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation frameworks using Ansible and Python
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and playbooks
- Automate backup scheduling, monitoring, and recovery processes
- Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines and ITSM tools
- Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
- Ensure security, compliance, and reliability of automation solutions
- Troubleshoot automation issues and perform root cause analysis
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
- Support internal and external customer escalations on DevOps tools
👥 Team & People Management Responsibilities
- Forecast talent requirements and manage resourcing
- Hire, train, and onboard team members

🎓 Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps / IT Infrastructure Automation

- Strong Python scripting skills
- Solid experience with Linux/Unix systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Experience with Git version control
- Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
