Role Overview
As a Data Engineer, you’ll work with large-scale data systems. Your work involves collecting, storing, transforming, and processing structured and unstructured data. You’ll support decision-making by helping teams pick the right data systems and solve integration challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and validate predictive and statistical models for big data.
- Design and deploy enterprise search solutions like Elasticsearch and Splunk.
- Work with scientists, engineers, and DBAs in an Agile environment.
- Build reusable data integration programs and data pipelines.
- Cleanse, transform, and integrate data for analytics and modelling.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build and maintain pipelines for batch and stream processing using Informatica PowerCenter or cloud ETL tools.
- Gather requirements, identify data sources, and resolve data quality issues.
- Design data structures, develop processing routines, and support testing.
- Assist data science and analytics teams with ingestion and technical issues.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Data Warehousing, Data Integration, and BI using Informatica PowerCenter.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, Power BI, and cloud migration.
- Experience with Unix shell scripting and Python.
- Relational SQL and big data experience.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
- Unix shell scripting and Python.
