Introduction
This role is part of IBM’s Consulting Client Innovation Centers, where teams help global clients adopt modern technology through local expertise. You’ll work with public and private sector organizations and support their digital transformation journeys.
Role Overview
As a Data Engineer, you’ll work with data at scale. Your focus will be on gathering, storing, and processing structured and unstructured data. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, select the right data systems, and solve integration challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines for batch and streaming workloads using Informatica PowerCenter or cloud ETL/ELT tools.
- Coordinate with business teams and technical leads to gather requirements and identify data sources.
- Detect data quality issues and design target data models.
- Develop data processing routines, run unit tests, and support UAT.
- Work with data scientists and analytics teams for data ingestion and troubleshooting.
- Implement and validate predictive models, and maintain statistical models for big data projects.
- Design and implement enterprise search solutions like Elasticsearch and Splunk.
- Work with cross-disciplinary teams in an Agile environment.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Data Warehousing, Data Integration, and BI using Informatica PowerCenter.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, Power BI, and cloud migration.
- Unix shell scripting and Python.
- SQL and Big Data ecosystem knowledge.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Informatica PowerCenter expertise.
- Unix shell scripting and Python.
