Introduction
This role is part of IBM’s Consulting Client Innovation Centers. You’ll work with teams that support enterprises across industries by helping them adopt new technology through local delivery expertise.
Role Overview
As a Data Engineer, you’ll work with large and complex data sets. Your work includes data collection, storage, transformation, and real-time processing. You’ll collaborate with multiple teams, select the right data systems, and support the integration of structured and unstructured data.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and validate predictive and statistical models for big data workloads.
- Design and deploy enterprise search platforms like Elasticsearch and Splunk.
- Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and DBAs in an Agile environment.
- Develop and maintain reusable data integration programs and pipelines.
- Cleanse, integrate, and transform data using efficient methods.
- Support predictive and prescriptive modelling activities and evaluate results.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Data Warehousing, Data Integration, and BI with Informatica PowerCenter.
- Understanding of cloud concepts, Power BI, and cloud data migration.
- Experience with Unix shell scripting and Python.
- Good exposure to SQL, relational databases, and big data technologies.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
- Deeper experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
- Strong Unix shell scripting and Python skills.
