Job Overview
Adobe is seeking a Software Development Engineer 4 to drive the technical strategy and implementation of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and the Agentic ecosystem. You will work on AI-driven autonomous systems, distributed storage, cloud platforms, and enterprise knowledge bases to enable real-time, intelligent experiences for millions of users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems.
- Work with Delta Lake, Iceberg, Spark, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Optimize for data quality, low latency, scalability, and reliability.
- Integrate modern AI/Generative AI capabilities into the platform.
- Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence in production-grade systems.
- Establish best practices for evaluation, safety, and system behavior guardrails.
Qualifications
- 6+ years in large-scale, data-intensive distributed systems development.
- 2+ years in a lead role.
- Expertise in Spark, Delta Lake, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python; strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ownership mindset with cost-conscious system design.
