Job Description
Oracle is seeking a Senior Linux/Solaris Administrator to join its Support Organization. You will be responsible for delivering post-sales support, solutions, and troubleshooting for Oracle customers while ensuring high levels of satisfaction. This role involves system administration, patching, performance tuning, Oracle Engineered Systems support, and Kubernetes administration.
You will also serve as a primary point of contact for customers, managing escalated issues and driving resolutions independently with minimal guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver post-sales support and solutions to Oracle customers.
- Administer Linux/Solaris Servers, Supercluster, Exadata, M8-8 Servers.
- Handle patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Configure PDOM/LDOM, ZFS patching/configuration, Oracle PCA administration.
- Provide 3rd & 4th level support for complex Oracle Engineering System issues.
- Implement lifecycle management, monitoring, DR, compliance, and standards.
- Support Oracle Kubernetes administration and customer-driven projects.
- Ensure 24×7 support readiness and proactive issue resolution.
Required Skills & Experience
✅ Minimum 7+ years’ experience in Solaris/Linux Server Administration.
✅ Expertise in Exadata/ExaCC, Supercluster, ZFS, PCA, Oracle Engineering Systems.
✅ Strong knowledge of patching, performance tuning, capacity planning.
✅ Experience with Kubernetes administration.
✅ Ability to deliver project implementations and lifecycle management.
✅ Excellent troubleshooting & customer communication skills.
Good to Have:
- Scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, etc.).
- Cloud certifications/knowledge.
Qualifications
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
🌐 Strong English communication skills (spoken & written).
