🏢 About the Role
Oracle is hiring a Senior Cloud Operation Engineer to support production environments, ensuring availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle Cloud Services. This role involves Linux administration, troubleshooting, automation, and high-scale system operations.
You’ll handle incident management, root cause analysis, system upgrades, and performance tuning, while working closely with service teams to resolve complex issues.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise production server hardware & software
- Provide escalated technical support for complex issues
- Perform incident management & root cause analysis
- Support staging/production environments and ensure SLA adherence
- Implement zero downtime deployments with high availability mindset
- Develop automation scripts to replace manual processes
- Maintain robust monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Elastic etc.)
- Ensure production security posture & compliance
- Participate in on-call support (rotational shifts)
🎯 Required Skills
- 6+ years in IT industry, 4+ years as Sys Admin/Support
- Strong Linux administration (different hardware families)
- Experience in Virtualisation Technologies
- Scripting: Python, Bash, Shell (Java/Go knowledge is a plus)
- Understanding of Networking, Load Balancers, Cloud Computing
- Hands-on with Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, New Relic)
- Experience with high-scale deployments, CI/CD
