Project Role: Application Support Engineer

Role Description:

You will act as a software detective—identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues across multiple components of critical business systems. Your responsibilities include ensuring smooth application operations, improving performance, and delivering timely solutions that support business continuity.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Good to Have Skills:

  • Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS, SUSE)

Experience: Minimum 2 years

Education: 15 years full-time education


Summary

As an Application Support Engineer, you will engage in diagnosing system issues, managing AWS cloud resources, handling Linux server operations, and ensuring business-critical applications run efficiently. Your role includes close collaboration with teams, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing best practices to maintain application reliability.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provision & manage AWS resources: EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, VPC, IAM, Control Tower
  • Configure Load Balancers, Security Groups, Transit Gateway peering, VPC Endpoints
  • Manage IAM roles, policies, Identity Center access, and key rotations
  • Handle ACM certificate renewals and cleanups
  • Implement lifecycle policies, tagging, and cost optimization
  • Troubleshoot AWS services, connectivity, and resource limitations
  • Administer Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, SUSE)
  • Maintain SUSE High Availability Clusters
  • Perform OS patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and RCA
  • Apply security hardening and compliance measures
  • Conduct vulnerability scanning and CVE analysis
  • Troubleshoot Linux issues: boot failures, crashes, bottlenecks
  • Follow ITIL-based change management processes
  • Manage incidents and service requests via ServiceNow
  • Ensure SLA compliance and timely resolution of tickets

Additional Information

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Enterprise Network Operations
  • Based in Bengaluru
  • 15 years full-time education is mandatory
