Accenture is looking for a highly capable Application Support Engineer with expertise in SUSE Linux Administration. This position involves troubleshooting, configuring, and managing Linux-based systems while ensuring application-level stability and performance in a critical enterprise environment.
You’ll operate as a problem-solver and technical mentor within a cross-functional infrastructure support team, ensuring robust support and uptime for enterprise applications.
🔧 Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Linux system support.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers on Linux configuration and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and drive support decisions.
- Provide real-time solutions to issues across multiple critical systems.
- Handle configuration, patching, and maintenance of Linux systems.
- Continuously improve existing processes and performance standards.
🛠️ Required Skills
- Must-Have: SUSE Linux Administration (Minimum 2 years)
- Experience in SUSE/Linux installation, configuration, and administration
- Deep understanding of HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, OSI Model, Load Balancing
- Knowledge of NFS/CIFS, SFTP, Samba protocols
- Familiarity with Linux boot process, patching, file systems, and performance tuning
- Hands-on scripting experience in Bash or Perl
- Exposure to Public Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
