Job Summary
The Senior Specialist – Software Engineering role focuses on automation-driven DevOps and DevSecOps engineering, emphasizing Python scripting, infrastructure automation, CI/CD security, and cloud-native deployments. The candidate will work on building, integrating, and maintaining automation frameworks while ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure.
This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Python, Ansible, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and a strong foundation in Linux system administration.
Primary & Mandatory Skills
Programming & Scripting
- Strong expertise in Python scripting (primary and mandatory)
- Exposure to Golang and Java (not preferred but acceptable)
- Shell scripting: Bash / PowerShell
Automation & Configuration Management
- Hands-on experience with:
- Ansible
- Terraform
- AWS CloudFormation
- Exposure to Chef is a plus
- Ability to design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain automation scripts
DevOps & DevSecOps
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles
- Experience with:
- CI/CD pipelines
- Security automation
- Vulnerability management
- Integration of security checks into CI/CD workflows
APIs & Integration
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs
- Experience in API-based automation and integrations
- Ability to create and maintain automation using API libraries and frameworks
Linux Infrastructure
- Strong Linux system administration skills
- Command-line expertise
- Experience managing Linux-based cloud and on-prem infrastructure
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation solutions using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation
- Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with embedded security automation
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) for scalable cloud environments
- Integrate automation tools with REST APIs and external systems
- Manage and troubleshoot Linux infrastructure
