🎯 Role Purpose
The role focuses on providing deep technical expertise in Oracle database infrastructure and cloud database operations, leading architecture design, performance optimization, automation, and high-availability solutions across enterprise environments.
📝 Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Oracle performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Oracle DB pre-installation, installation, upgrades, migration, and patch management
- Automation using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, ARM/Bicep
- Manage Oracle Database 12c/19c on Unix (Standalone & RAC)
- Specialized in Oracle RAC architecture, node eviction troubleshooting
- Strong expertise in ASM, RMAN backup & recovery
- AWR, ADDM, explain plan analysis and SQL tuning
- Resolve database connectivity, timeout, and incident issues
- Handle P1/P2 critical incidents, RCA, and severity calls
- Write and troubleshoot Shell, SQL, and PL/SQL scripts
- Implement DevOps-based automation and one-touch solutions
- Work with vendors and manage high-priority change tickets
☁️ Cloud & Automation Skills
- Azure Cloud (portal, monitoring, security exposure)
- Oracle Database Infrastructure & PaaS
- Terraform automation in production environments
- Ansible playbooks and Ansible Tower management
- Cost optimization, HA/DR strategies
- Exposure to GCP is a plus
