🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy API proxies using the Apigee platform
- Implement API policies such as OAuth, JWT, Quota, Spike Arrest, Caching, and Transformation
- Optimize API performance, scalability, and high availability
- Manage Apigee Edge, Apigee X, and Apigee Hybrid environments (cloud, hybrid, on-prem)
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Chef, and Ansible
- Monitor and troubleshoot API gateway and infrastructure issues
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and DevOps teams for seamless API delivery
- Document solutions and share best practices with the team
- Mentor engineers on API best practices, DevOps automation, and infrastructure design
🔹 Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Apigee API Management (Edge, X, or Hybrid)
- Strong knowledge of API policies, shared flows, KVMs, and fault handling
- 5+ years of Java development (REST APIs, Spring Boot preferred)
- 3+ years experience in DevOps / Infrastructure Engineering
- Hands-on experience with Chef, Ansible, and scripting (Shell, Python, Ruby)
- Experience with Jenkins, Rundeck, Git, and GitOps workflows
- Strong Linux administration skills
- Experience with Terraform or Helm
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Monitoring experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and ownership mindset
