Job Summary
SAP is hiring a Solution Support Engineer – SmartRecruiters to join its Cloud Product Support Team. This role focuses on troubleshooting product issues, supporting customers globally, and collaborating with Engineering and Cloud Operations teams to deliver high-quality technical support aligned with SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and drive resolution of customer-reported product issues
- Assess business impact and provide timely, accurate customer communication
- Analyze application configurations, system logs, and environment data
- Work with global teams to resolve issues within defined SLAs
- Maintain ownership of issues until full resolution
- Provide solutions for known and documented issues
- Report bugs and errors to Development teams
- Support customers with procedural and functional queries
- Contribute to SAP Technical Knowledge Base and documentation
- Share best practices and knowledge within the support team
- Participate in weekend and global roster-based support coverage
- Continuously upskill on new product releases and features
Required Qualifications
- Engineering Degree / M.Tech / Master’s in Science (Physics or Mathematics)
- Knowledge of ITIL incident management processes
- 1–4 years of experience in customer-facing support or implementation roles
- Minimum 1–3 years of IT industry experience
- Experience supporting or implementing SuccessFactors or SmartRecruiters HRIS
- Working knowledge of:
- XML, Java, J2EE, HTML
- RDBMS concepts and SQL
- Web SSO (SAML 2.0)
- Browser developer tools (Fiddler, Chrome, Firefox)
- Understanding of networking concepts, OS, and browser-based technologies
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SmartRecruiters platform
- Exposure to CRM and Service Management ticketing systems
- Experience in Implementation, Consulting, Support, or Key-User roles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Excellent English communication (written and spoken)
- Ability to work with urgency and manage high-impact issues
- Strong customer-centric mindset and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with global and cross-functional teams
