Job Summary
SAP is seeking an experienced Azure Security Architect to join its Cloud Security team. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and compliant Microsoft Azure cloud architectures. The ideal candidate will ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud workloads while aligning with enterprise security policies and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Security Architecture
- Design, develop, and implement secure Azure cloud architectures
- Ensure alignment with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements
- Define and enforce Azure security controls across identity, network, data, and threat protection
Collaboration & Governance
- Work closely with cloud architects, DevOps, and engineering teams
- Integrate security into cloud infrastructure, applications, and CI/CD pipelines
- Promote secure cloud design principles such as Zero Trust and least privilege access
Risk Management & Compliance
- Conduct security risk assessments and architecture reviews for Azure workloads
- Develop and maintain Azure security policies, standards, and guidelines
- Ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CSA
Security Operations
- Lead incident response for Azure security incidents
- Support mitigation, remediation, and root cause analysis
- Implement and manage Azure native security tools:
- Azure Security Center
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Azure Key Vault
- Azure Active Directory & Conditional Access
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on emerging Azure security threats and technologies
- Provide security guidance and awareness across cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud security architecture
- Strong expertise in:
- Azure AD
- Azure Security Center
- Key Vault
- Virtual Networks
- Azure Policy
- Experience with secure identity management and data protection strategies
- Proficiency in automation and scripting:
- PowerShell
- Azure CLI
- ARM Templates
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified:
- Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud security environments
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and security integration in CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with security monitoring and logging tools
